Rococo Daze is the first UK online shop to stock various Japanese Street Style and Classical-style Lolita fashion items from brands such as Juliette et Justine, Enchantic Enchantilly, Chocomint and E Hyphen World Gallery to name but a few. The shop opened its virtual doors in December 2012, and as with every new business it needed a brand identity, so the owner enlisted my services after having seen my design work for TokyoToys.
Inspiration was drawn from the luxurious imagery of the film Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola, and the ornate design was created to reflect the elegance of the Rococo-era and its influences on Lolita fashion.
Here are some typefaces I set out which I felt matched the theme. The client chose No.9, I then used this as a base and worked on the rest of the logo from there.
The official Rococo Daze logo adorned on the shop’s website, which had a recent makeover.
I bought some items from Rococo Daze to show my support. These High Lace Ribbon Tights and Angel Print socks are from the brand Juliette et Justine. Check out the gorgeous detail in these close-up shots! Many of the store’s products are so popular they sell out within minutes, so make sure to keep an eye on their Facebook or Twitter updates to avoid disappointment.
